Yukon is Canada’s most North Western Territory and shares a border with Alaska. The rugged landscape, home of the 1800’s gold rush, was the muse for Jack London’s book, The Call of the wild.
The Territory is home to Canada’s highest Peak, Mount Logan. As you can see, the Yukon landscape is absolutely stunning.
On December 6th, 2025, Whitehorse was rocked by an earthquake which measured 7.0 on the Richter scale. The highest recorded in Canada in 79 years. The United States shared the tremors as it was along the Canada/Alaska border.


Emerald Lake

Emerald Lake, Yukon, Canada. One can view this magnificent vista while travelling the South Klondike highway. The lake is fed by glacial waters, and gets it colour from the play of light on marl (calcium carbonate) deposits in the shallow waters.
Aurora Borealis, Northern Lights, Polar Lights
The play of lights in the Northern Sky Is known by many names depending on the region from which they are seen.
Their true beauty is not easy to catch in a photograph, and they look different when captured on video.

The auroral zone close to the magnetic poles. Far from city lights so the show is spectacular.
